With the rescheduling of the West Texas 250, the 2016 race season is going to prove to be quite interesting. It will be a dual points race so will count as the season ender of the 2015 race season but also the first race of the 2016 season. So this will mean that there will be 4 races in 2016 not the typical 3 races.

As soon as they get the other 3 race dates set the full 2016 schedule will be posted up.

If there is anyone in the group that is interested in getting involved in desert racing as a racer, part of a race crew or to be a volunteer at an event you can get in contact with either Terry or myself.
I know of at least 1 other person that has a 5 car he is getting ready to start racing that is looking for crew/co-drivers. There is a second person also that may be looking for the same thing.

The TDRA Schedule for the 2016 race season is now set. You may notice a two new things on the schedule a fourth race and a NEW TRACK!

The season will kick off where it left off in 2015, in Notrees for the West Texas 250, this race's points will count as the final race of 2015 and the first race of the 2016 season.  The 2015 Awards ceremony will immediately follow the race.

Our next race is a brand new race on a brand new property. We have been working with a property owner in Sierra Blanca are developing a new track on a private ranch in southern Hudspeth County.  This new track offers terrain similar to Baja, with fast graded roads, views of Mexico, mountains, cholla cactus, and ocotillo make this new track something special that we hope all of our racers will enjoy!  Look for more info and pictures of this new location very soon.

The Texana Day/Night Race takes place in July again, with a format change breaking the race up into two parts.  Half the race in the morning, a break to work on vehicles and relax in the pool, then the race conclusion after dark.  This will give all racers a shot to make repairs and get that sought after finish at a track that is known to be as tough as those out west.  Be sure to bring your entire family to this one.  Exotic animals, swimming pool and RV hookups are just the start of what Texana has to offer.

The final race of the season takes us back to Notrees for the Lonestar 225, and our end of year awards ceremony.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone at the races for what will be the best season TDRA has had to date!

There is a typo with the April race, date is April 1 & 2 (Friday & Saturday) not 2 & 3 (Saturday & Sunday)
