Hello everyone.. Thanks for the email reminding me about this great site. I have a quuestion about car audio,please dont think im crazy. I have this very nice 70 bug that i was very lucky to get my hands on, it has a very nice custom paint job and a monster engine, in other words almost a complete show car.... Minus the sound sistem, here is my question; I want 4000 watts rms for subs and 1000 watts rms for mids and highs, the problem is that i would need at least 250 amps to push all this power and as we all know the alternator puts out only 55 amps and this is not your normal shape everyday alternator, i can get a 95 amp alt but thats it. Ive heard about custom alt brackets for extra alternators and batery banks but i have never seen one in a bug. Anybody seen or done anything this crazy ,,,,, that actually works????

I know you can get a "Dual Battery Relay Kit" that allows hookup of 2nd battery to be charged off one alternator.

I don't now how you would do it, but I'll look around, multiple battery option could help me on my camper... scratch

Well guys im going to going to get it done somehow. When im done im going to one of your shows and ill let you see it, in my 64 i managed to install 2000 watts rms and is the loudest bug in Oklahoma and the only one with 20inch wheels but not good enough to win in any category. thats why my 70 is getting more attention because when i go to your shows ,im gonna win something
