Got a 34PICT-3 carb on a what I think is a 1600DP. The carb had some gunk in it, so I cleaned and rebuilt it. I have it set where it will idle great, when it catches it will pin you in the seat, but coughs and sputters during transition from low to high speed.

Things I have done/checked...
1 Clean and rebuild carb-- Check valve for the accelerator pump was stuck--fixed
2 set points
3 check for air leaks
4 clean and reset points (looked new)

What am I missing? It's buggin' me!

Thanks, -C-Man-

Nope. I think it is an old 009, if I remember correctly what they look like.

I've heard a lot of people have better luck with a vacuum advance dist. when using a pic 34 carb. All mine have been pic 31's so far.
