| hey guys, wutsup? glad to say we are back on the road and me and the boys have been having a blast with the rod. there is a guy here in SA named sean who is a resource on the VOSA site who helped me with the welding to safen up the rod. he is VERY good and experienced at what he does. he is hotrod to the bone. but also really knowledgable and experienced with aircooled(and then some) mods and restoration. HARD KNOCK CUSTOMS!!! i wouldn't hesitate to check him out for anything from rust repair to narrowed beams, bags, custom fab, everything. he re-engineered my beam extension and also fabbed me a steering extension. his customer service is as unbelivable as his skills. his prices are also more than reasonable. we have been cruising every opportunity we can find. we love to be sent on miniscule errands, now. is hilarious, when i have it wide open in 4th, the rod sounds like a harley with its un-baffled stinger, and the boys will be laughing hooping and hollering, and i look down and we are are only going like 50. they think its like 100 mph. there is five of us with the wife and baby, but since the baby still needs a booster, we havent gotten to go out altogether yet. i am gonna mod it, tho and squeeze in a third belt in the back seat i added to the rod. that is once i get my hands on one (belt). i have this 67 i was parting out at the end of the year last, that i am trying to finish getting rid of anyone need anything. i even have a body that is already cut for a volksrod, missing the front and rear aprons. i got hit by a drunk driver at the first if the year, which set me back till then beginning of the summer. a VOSA guy here in town came and helped me with a clutch install a while back, so know we are back on the streets. i am sure you can imagine, the boys and i havent stop smiling since.
