I decided I liked the look of no fenders in the rear of my baja. With no fenders I need to come up with a way to mount the tail lights. I have a pair of brake lights that are round with 2 mounting bolts sticking out the back..... Thought they would look cool mounted over the top of the tires. Then I started thinking some more and cam up with the idea of mounting ammunition boxes on each side and mount the light to the end of the box......... this would keep the wires safe, give me more storage for tools and give a unique look.

This is the type of ammuntion box I was thinking about using:

Kind of looks like a space ship??

I was going to use the body trim holes to bolt the boxes on.



Any thoughts (positive or negative) would be appreciated. Or do you have another idea? Do you think it would look awkward?

those would look cool i think . but if you have a blowout with those boxes mounted to the body i could see some ugly body damage happening . just my 2 pennies .but thay would look cool plus thay would make nice tool box or spare parts box .

Hell man give it a shot, you would be the only one out there with it. In my personal opinion, I like being the one different on the trail. Do it to it! post some pictures when fineshed.

I pulled the trigger and bought the ammo boxes today.... now I need to figure out the best way to mount these babies...
