Does anyone know if fenders and bumpers are required in Texas? I got the body back on my bug and I think I like it better without rear fenders.

I plan on putting a pipe bumper on the rear but wasn't sure if the front was necessary

Looked on the Texas DMV page and didn't see anything

I looked over the DMV page..... looks like they are only required for trucks? meh..... I'm gonna rock the bug without em

mine is a baja so the front nose has a spot for my plate.

If it's not a daily driver and you register it as a Antique Vehicle you don't need a inspection, and it's 50 bucks for 5 years. Wink

Has to be 25 or more years old. They may try to talk you into classic tags, they are normal registration fee plus 40 bucks.
