Does anyone know if fenders and bumpers are required in Texas? I got the body back on my bug and I think I like it better without rear fenders.

I plan on putting a pipe bumper on the rear but wasn't sure if the front was necessary

Looked on the Texas DMV page and didn't see anything

If it's not a daily driver and you register it as a Antique Vehicle you don't need a inspection, and it's 50 bucks for 5 years. Wink

What are the requirements for an antique vehicle? Doesn't it have to be like 30 years or something. My bug clears that buy quite a bit but my dad was looking at getting them for his truck.

Has to be 25 or more years old. They may try to talk you into classic tags, they are normal registration fee plus 40 bucks.
