My dad has a 1969 vert and wants to refinish the rims before he puts new tires on. He would like to keep them the original finish..... Anyone know what kind of finish they are and a good place to take them? They might need sandblasting before they get refinished...

Noticed there was no reply to your question. I have a slip of paper somewhere in my box of VW stuff for a fella who does sand blastng, and another for someone who does powder coating. Both aren't cheap (rims are $25 ea.) , but I understand worth the while for a long lasting finish. I plan on doing a pair of rims at a time this summer. Both guys are in Collin County. I'll look that info up and get back to ya.

Guess your post slipped past me also.... Embarassed
Has he already done the tires?

There is a powder coating place on I 30 just the other side of Royce City. I'm going to stop by Wednesday afternoon and see what they charge for doing wheels. I want to get my bus rims done.

I had Crosslink powder coat some wrought iron & some
wheels. They did a good job & not too pricey. I think they have someone
media blast stuff if it needs it.
They are just East of McKinney off 380.
