Hey! Im Rachel and was contacted through my site, www.vwgrits.com. Its an all girls vw forum. But thought id join and say whats up! I have a 62 Beryl green bug im rebuilding right now and have a 71 bay sunroof in fl thats on hold haha. Was bitten by the bug about 2 years ago and love it!

Hello all , some of you might know me from The Samba , but since I live in the DFW area I thought I'd reach out to the local peeps , anyways I've been into every aspect of v-dubs in reguards to building engines , painting , narrowing beams , since I was 17 yrs old or the past 20 yrs! Just an FYI, if you are in need of some tires for your type I, III & VI's.
Discount Tire just bought up Kelly Springfield�s supply of 165 R15 tires.
They run about $70 each plus mount & Bal. Not cheap but they are good tires
& most places said they would have order tires for me & their prices
were much higher.

Keep the shiny side up.

Sorry I haven't introduced myself yet, always at work and 4 kids at home. My name is Shanon I live in Garland I have a 72 Super Beetle that I bought for myself on my birthday Feb. 2nd. Grew up in SoCal in the sand. Moved to Texas and have messed with my Bugs now and then, but circumstances have kept me from doing what I love.. Getting all four wheels off the ground. Now I am looking to get back into Baja/rail building. I'm starting out on a Manx on a stretched 69 pan. I plan on restoring it and giving it to my mother. (Was my uncles before he passed.) I have always been into mustangs but my son (16) was born in Germany when I was stationed there has always wanted a bug. My father-in-law bought him a 69 when he was 13. we disassembled it and started making plans to slam and shave it but found alot of rust in the body and cash was low so the project kind of came to a stand still. As his 16 b-day came closer I knew his car wouldn't be finished ...

Noobie greetings.

New to the site, new to VW's in general, but quickly sliding down the slippery slope.

I am rebuilding a FANX buggy. I bought 2 1/2 buggies just to get enough parts to put one together. The 3rd pan appears to be the charm. The body is a complete basket case, so I'm learning to fiberglass as well as all other joys of VW ownership.

I'll put up some build pics in the buggy/kitcar forum later.
